Today was our first day off, we did some shopping and enjoyed the morning and late afternoon drifting through pearl shops, leather shops and craft shops. We then went to meet up with a Nepalese nurse who used to teach at the College, but now works at the British High Commission Clinic that serves the British, Australian and German Diplomats and their families.
He and his wife prepared a lovely Nepalese meal for us, it was delicious. Nepal is a small sized country, near Bangladesh, that is home to Mount Everest and the Himalayan Mountains. Because it is a neighboring country, sometimes Nepalese people come to Bangladesh for their education.
Tomorrow we are helping at the College with the admissions day, when about 150 families arrive and the girls are interviewed and put into social situations to see how they cope in new settings. It should be interesting.
Everyone looks so beautiful in their Bangladesh outfits!
