The students at the College are a long way from home, one girl`s village is a 15 hour drive from the College. They move here for their whole training time while in Dhaka. The are usually between 18 - 22 years of age. We've been asked to help with the screening of new students, 158 students and families will come to the College to fill just 50 spots. It's a huge step to be invited, and all are hopeful to be accepted. Tonight we were invited to their home (residence). They all put on their finest clothes and were gracious hosts. (Debbi)
We were also asked to share a Canadian Dance at the College, so I called a Virginia Reel, and all the Canadians were good sports to participate too. Maybe we'll have some new square dancers when we get home (Danielle and Kim???). The workshop participants seemed to have fun.
